Please note: All competitors must purchase a Full Weekend Pass or a Competitors Pass before signing up for contests. You may upgrade a Full Single Day Pass (Saturday or Sunday) to add a Competitor status by $20 plus your entries. We reserve the right to cancel any contest that does not have at least four to six couples entered as of the day of the competition.
Who can enter: All Roaring Twenties Street Jam contests are open to all ages and levels
Music: All preliminaries & finals are danced to DJ music including the Showcase division (Please submit spotlight and showcase music by email to Roaringtwentiesstreetjam@gmail.com by March 10th – if music is not received by deadline then your routine may be cut)
Rules: See each dance for specific rules. Lifts, drops and aerials are permitted in all events with the exception of Jack & Jills. All comps will be judged by special guests.
Entry Fees: Each contest has its own entry fee. Contest fees must be paid prior to dancing in that contest in order to compete. No refunds on entry fees.
Free Contests: The Midnight Street Jam Circle. This is not your typical jam circle. Audience will be picking the ultimate crowd pleaser. This event is free to enter and no competitor pass necessary.
Costumes: Costumes are permitted and encouraged.
Cash Prizes: (1st – 3rd place will receive trophies – cash & prizes will be awarded to 1st place only.)
Amatuer Early Swing Jack & Jill
For new dancers with no or limited contest experience. Competitors will rotate partners randomly drawn and dance 2-3 songs of varied tempos. - Aerials not permitted but minor drops, lifts, slides etc OK. Dancers are judged as individuals in preliminary round. Finals will consist of 6 couples and judged as couples. 4 couple minimum.

Amatuer Argentine Tango Jack & Jill

30 sec Spotlight Showcase
All levels and dance styles are welcome. This choreography division will have no rules other than time. Make sure to properly edit your music. Any couple going over the allotted time may have music faded out. If you wish to dance longer, please enter in the Argentine Tango or Early Swing Showcase divisions. 6 couple minimum.
Entry Fee: $15 per person
Contest Prizes: $300 (in Cash & Prizes)- 1st Couple Place Only
Showcase Competition
All levels are welcome. This choreography division will have no dancing rules. Couple will perform routine to their own music (song can be between 2-3 ½ min). The preliminary round will be judged and the final round will have the audience as a contributing judge. This division will has a limited number of entries, so please reserve your entry early. 6 couple minimum.
Contest Entry Fee: $20 per person
Contest Prizes: $400 (in Cash & Prizes)- 1st Couple Place Only
Solo Jazz Comp
Preliminary Round Dancers will dance in heats to one song.
Final Round Finalists will take turns dancing in the spotlight. 6 person minimum.
